Blessing Bags
In 2021, we saw a rise in the “Unhoused” population throughout our communities. To help those without access to everyday necessities, we created the “Blessing bags.” These bags contain dental products, hygiene products, water and more. These can be kept inside of your car, for easy access to hand out throughout the day.
VBS/Back to School Giveaway
Every August, we host our annual “Vacation Bible School (VBS)”! Each VBS has its own theme. We use the theme to teach children about the Lord, through arts and crafts, movement activities, and songs.
At the end of each VBS, we host a cookout. Families are welcome to eat, enjoy fellowship, and participate in our back-to-school giveaway
Bread Donations & School Supplies
We have partnered with Panera for 10 years, taking donated bread, bagels, and treats and giving them to those in need. Many have been blessed by this giving and have found it to stretch their supply when their pantry is low.
Through our 2-year partnership with Staples and Walmart, we have received donated notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, crayons, scissors and more. These supplies have also been given to families during our annual Vacation Bible School, and other youth activities. These are free for anyone in the community who may need them year-round!
Laundry Outreach
White as Snow, Clean as Wool, Christian Laundry Group (WSCW)
While serving the Waterbury, Bridgeport, Hamden, and Plainville areas with the Word of the Lord, we also provide each community with needed laundry essentials.
College Outreach
5 years ago we began hosting a weekly bible study, for our college students, at Quinnipiac University. Students are blessed through these weekly infusions of Spiritual teachings, as well as fellowship and worship.
Once a semester, we create and distribute “College Care Packages” filled with essentials a college student may benefit from.
